What I'm up to right now
Based in Mérida, Mexico, building software, learning new things, and enjoying good coffee. I'm open to international opportunities and relocating abroad.
Work
Senior Full Stack Engineer at Paymitto, leading the architecture of a greenfield international payments Web SDK and its integration layer — API contracts, event-driven communication with host applications, and cloud infrastructure on Azure. Day to day I care about distributed systems, clean architecture, developer experience, and shipping software people actually enjoy using.
Building
- Ridecito — a B2B carpooling platform that helps companies cut commuting emissions, with ESG Scope 3 CO₂ savings tracking. Built with React, TanStack Router, Supabase, and Deno Edge Functions.
- This personal site — you're looking at it. Trying to keep it fast, accessible, and genuinely useful.
- Small experiments that may or may not see the light of day 😄
Learning
- Distributed systems fundamentals — working through Designing Data-Intensive Applications by Martin Kleppmann
- AI-assisted, spec-driven development as a real part of the workflow, not a gimmick
- German (A2) and Japanese (N5) — slowly but surely
- Sharpening system design for large-scale services
Reading
- Designing Data-Intensive Applications — Martin Kleppmann
- A Philosophy of Software Design — John Ousterhout
- Dev blogs: Overreacted, the Vercel blog, and the occasional deep Twitter/X thread
Outside Work
Exploring Mérida's neighborhoods, cooking, and keeping up with F1.
