What I'm up to right now
Based in Merida, building software, learning new things, and enjoying good coffee.
Work
Full-Stack Software Engineer focused on building scalable web products. Currently deep in Next.js App Router, TypeScript, and distributed systems patterns. I care a lot about developer experience, clean architecture, and shipping software that people actually enjoy using.
Learning
- Distributed systems fundamentals — working through Designing Data-Intensive Applications by Martin Kleppmann
- Exploring AI/ML integrations in production web apps (not just chatbots — real use cases)
- Getting more comfortable with Rust for systems-level programming
- Sharpening system design skills for large-scale services
Building
- This personal site — you're looking at it. Trying to keep it fast, accessible, and genuinely useful
- A couple of small side projects that may or may not see the light of day 😄
- Contributing to open source when I find something worth improving
Reading
- Designing Data-Intensive Applications — Martin Kleppmann
- A Philosophy of Software Design — John Ousterhout
- Dev blogs: Overreacted, Dan Abramov's, the Vercel blog, and random Twitter/X threads
Outside Work
Exploring Merida's neighborhoods, cooking, and keeping up with F1.
